Dr. Karen Dokos:

Dr. Karen Dokos grew up in south Louisiana, and after graduation from high school in New Orleans, began attending Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge in 1976.  Upon graduation from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 1982, she went to Jacksonville, Florida, for a year and practiced small animal medicine there. She returned to the Houston area in 1983 and began working full time, but changed to part-time work when the first of her three children was born in 1990. She joined Forest Lake Animal Clinic as a veterinarian in 1998. She still very much enjoys her work, and really likes the medical, surgical, and dental aspects of practice, and interacting with clients and playing with their pets. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Harris County Veterinary Medical Association

She stays busy being a mom, bicycling, working out, gardening, and really likes "just being outside".
